I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Salcombetastic New Year!

The above card, by Caroline Appleyard, is available form The Mayne Gallery with proceeds going to the RNLI.

Great blog over this year. Keep up the good work next year. Why not encourage your readers to feed back experiences with local pubs, restaurants, shops, businesses etc in 2010. Kind of mutual help for Salcombe fans??
Merry Christmas 00Devon.

I've loved the Salcombe blog that you write - often controversial - but never dull.... just like you, whoever you are I'm sure!!

I'm sure that with your ear to the ground in Salcombe you'll know that Tim and I (with 2 great best friends) take over the great institution that is Captain Morgans - I can assure you that very little will change, and it makes our committment to Salcombe and our future here even stronger!

Thanks for your arms length friendship - Tim and I wish you a very Happy Christmas!!

Liz - I did hear yes...good to see it staying as is. Many a hangover has been subdued via a Captain Morgans bacon sarnie!!!

Happy Christmas and good luck.

I was in Salcombe Christmas Eve.There was not a yacht in site and even the parking was free! All of the clothes shops were open , bu the town seemed very quiet.I hope it is busier in the New Year.
