Salcombe...Nothing Beats It...

I was going through my camera this week and found a load of photos of Summer 2008 I forgot I had. I decided to share them as I am sure you agree there isn't anywhere that can rival Salcombe...you can keep the Caribbean, Maldives and other fancy places, for me it's Salcombe EVERY TIME!

I think the photo above really captures Salcombe, click on it and see if full size.

Salcombe is pure heaven! It is just amazing and I can't get enough of the place. The pictures are great and make me long for the spring time when we can go to Salcombe for the first time in 2009! Bring it on!

Keep up the blog!

Fantastic pictures of a beautiful place. Its a worry that the proposed bridge across the water will undoubtedly spoil the view.

Yes very funny...if we cant get a floating shop I think we are safe from a bridge....

What great photo's.......... wow!!! I'm loving Salcombe at this time of the year, and although I shall enjoy the money that the 'season' will bring, I'm not sure I'm going to enjoy the crowds that will go with it!! Ah well, I'll enjoy this calm while it lasts! But sincerely, fantastic photo's. Liz.

Heard a whisper in the Fort that the oil exploration boys were seen off Bolt Head. Hope it is not true,....not to keen to see even a pilot borehole being sunk. Will keep you informed if we see any more signs.

News of shop changes. Catch restaurant now closed (lease back with landlord!) Amelias attic having work done, and next door Charles Head E A (premises closed) also having work done adjacent ...Amelias expanding? Big refurb on the Fish and Chip shop, and shop next door, (was Ireland Weller) having a super paint job done. So all positive, keeping local tradespeople busy. Hope the Grockles appreciate it.Salcombe looked magnificent in snow this week.
